I propose the following rules be added to the list for articles published in the White Lotus Sentinel:
- Limited use of the
{{USERNAME}}
template, as it:- Doesn't work for anons.
- May scare newer users.
- We could allow its use if it is really an important part of the article, such as if you are trying to explain to someone to go to a page in their userspace. Cases like "hello
{{USERNAME}}
" are not really necessary.
- Articles full of improper grammar and offensive language may not be published.
- Articles already published in another newsletter (The Ba Sing Se Times) will not be published in the White Lotus Sentinel. That way, our content is exclusive.
- Instead of using random formats for different members/non-members of the team, I propose the following format:
- <link to avatar>
{{User|NAME}}
<type of member> - Type of member can be
- Staff—members of the White Lotus Sentinel team.
- Contributor—non-members of the White Lotus Sentinel team.
- That way, we can be consistent, and we eliminate unnecessary use of information, such as ranks.
- <link to avatar>
I also propose the following changes be made to current rules:
- Rule that requires every staff member to write an article for every issue.
- Rule is unnecessary, because you do not need to write an article to contribute hugely to the issue.

- The username rule is in line with the general policy on the wiki, so that makes sense. I support the second and third as well,as they're a given. What's the difference between "staff" and "contributors"? Does the "staff" mean just editors and DEs? I'm fine with getting rid of the article every issue rule, per your reasoning. --AvatarRokus Ghost (Message me) 21:04, October 13, 2012 (UTC)
- By "staff", I mean any White Lotus Sentinel staff member, including editors, deputy editors, and, if any, all others. For example, if we were to have a specific designed and s/he was to write an article, we could call him/her "staff" as well. MateyY 21:46, October 13, 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think all of the proposals make sense. And I'd be fine either way, whether we'd call ourselves the technical names like DE or just "staff." Everything sounds good. --MinnichiFile:Dai Li Sprite.gif 22:28, October 13, 2012 (UTC)
